Tyco statement on WDNR’s WPDES permit for Stanton Street

Several years ago, we proposed to the WDNR $20 million in technological upgrades we wanted to put in place at our Stanton Street facility. Those upgrades are now underway and are reflected in the WDNR’s draft permit. Our longstanding commitment to community over the last three decades to remediate this site was a significant factor in the recent delisting of the lower Menominee River as an Area of Concern by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This step by the EPA was a major environmental accomplishment for Wisconsin and is a significant milestone in the restoration of the Great Lakes. Tyco will continue to be a good steward of the environment in the Marinette area and will continue to take steps to ensure our neighbors have clean and safe water.
