Under an agreement newly approved by the Marinette City Council on April 15, Tyco Fire Products will reimburse the city up to $75,000 for an independent study to examine the feasibility of extending municipal water to residents of the Town of Peshtigo. Tyco has previously agreed to reimburse the City for the Madison-based attorney that is advising it, and has entered similar reimbursement agreements with the Town of Peshtigo to fund its environmental consultant, Cedar Corporation. The Eagle-Herald reports that the agreement “will allow Marinette to evaluate thoroughly, with no strings attached and at no cost, the feasibility and expenses involved in the extension of its water lines.” Read the story in the Eagle-Herald here.
